Hayley
Hi I am Hayley and I created Sensory Sprouts to fill a gap in the market that I was frustrated I couldn’t find for my own little Sprout.
With a degree in Childhood Development and a ten year career working with children, across early years settings, SEND schools, after school clubs and residential camps, I have always had a passion for improving provisions and experiences for the developing mind.
Since I was in my teens, I have sketched out in numerous note pads the dream plans for the perfect activity centre for children. With my administration career needing a change in direction to work around my own little family, I have taken the scary leap of faith, or more like the first tiny step towards that end goal: enter Sensory Sprouts.
Louise
Hi, I am Louise, I have been a primary school teacher for 12 years and I have a drama and sign language degree. I have three young children and during lockdown I created lots of fun play activities for them using lots of messy play and loose part play. I love to bake and enjoy day trips out with the family

We hope you will join us in growing our little business with your little Glow Bean, watch them sprout into curious little minds and absorb the most sensational world around them. As Sensory Sprouts celebrates each of their milestones we look forward to celebrating yours too with professional photo opportunities, seasonal specials, celebrating their “firsts” and of course birthday treats.
Lots of love
Our Story
Growing Little Minds One Sensory Experience at a Time
Sensory play is a style of play that encourages learning through the child's senses and exploration.Focussing on play based learning it allows children to learn at their own speed. Helping to develop different skills including: gross and fine motor skills, problem solving, role play and communication. Sensory play encourages cognitive development and spatial awareness through exploring physical materials.
Sensory Sprouts hopes to give parents and carers a space for their children to explore this type of play in a safe and welcoming environment.
Our sessions are devised for a newborn - pre walker cohort and a walker-preschool toddler cohort. We have seen first hand at “mum and baby groups” how the older children can interfere with a younger babies ability to explore their surroundings safely and equally older children just want to be free to explore without the fear of trampling on younger children and with elements that would not be safe for a much younger child.
We aim to provide a semi structured environment for the children to explore alongside their caregivers. We will be on hand to help caregivers support their children's learning and freedom within the learning environment. We are DBS checked and first aid trained with teaching in Early Years, Primary and SEND qualifications and experience.
We also offer additional services such as sessions for nurseries, birthday parties and newborn and preschool gift shop on our website and plan to offer workshops for caregivers in turning the ordinary into the extraordinary at home.
We hope our services will stand out for their uniqueness amongst the stay and play group world. This isn't singing in circle time, soft play, messy play or a hall full of tired toys, this is created and designed for the imagination so that children can explore the world and all its wonder through all their senses.
